Ancarine Beach Resort Vietnam: Paradise Found? (Your Dream Vacation Awaits!)
Ancarine Beach Resort: Paradise… with a few sandy toes? (A Messy, Honest Review)
Okay, so you’re dreaming of Vietnam? Sun-drenched beaches, delicious food, and… well, maybe a break from reality? That's where Ancarine Beach Resort comes in, promising "Paradise Found!" with the tagline "Your Dream Vacation Awaits!" Well, let’s dive in, shall we? Because, darling, I’ve been there, done that, and I've got the (metaphorical, and probably real) sand to prove it.
Accessibility: Let's Get Real (and Wheelchair-Friendly?):
Right off the bat, accessibility is crucial. Ancarine claims to have "Facilities for disabled guests," and that's promising. However, the details are vague. This requires further investigation. I wish the resort provided more transparent information about wheelchair accessibility across the entire property.
Internet: Yay for Wi-Fi! (But Don’t Expect Perfection):
Thank goodness for Free Wi-Fi in all rooms! and Wi-Fi in public areas. This is a must in this day and age. Internet services are listed, and there's even Internet [LAN] which, let's be honest, feels kinda retro in 2024. The speed, however, fluctuated a bit. One minute you're flawlessly streaming, the next you're staring at a spinning wheel of despair. But hey, at least it’s mostly there.
Cleanliness and Safety: Feeling Secure?
This is where Ancarine really shines. Let's not mince words: they’re taking safety seriously. Anti-viral cleaning products, Daily disinfection in common areas, Rooms sanitized between stays, Professional-grade sanitizing services, and Staff trained in safety protocol – all fantastic. I felt genuinely safe, which is a huge comfort. They even have things like Hand sanitizer readily available and Individually-wrapped food options, which is huge these days. They even have a Doctor/nurse on call, which, thank God, I didn’t need.
Dining, Drinking, and Snacking: Food, Glorious Food! (With a Few Hiccups)
Okay, this is where things get interesting. The Restaurants are plentiful, thank goodness! Asian cuisine in restaurant? Check. International cuisine in restaurant? Check. Vegetarian restaurant? Another check! There's also a Coffee shop, and a Poolside bar.
The Breakfast [buffet] was a solid start to most days, offering Asian breakfast, and Western breakfast. My stomach certainly appreciated the Coffee/tea in restaurant to help me get up each morning. A Bottle of water was, fortunately, available, and I spent one afternoon with happy hour cocktails - a definite highlight
A la carte options are available in the restaurant, and the Room service [24-hour] was a lifesaver after a day of exploring. They also have a Snack bar and the Desserts in restaurant were divine. I'll never look at the same way again.
The Safe dining setup gave me peace of mind, and the staff were always helpful. But the service could be a bit spotty during peak hours. On one occasion, I waited almost an hour for a simple salad. Salad in restaurant was delicious, but I was hangry by the time it arrived!
Things to do, Ways to Relax: Spa Day, Anyone?
They have a whole shebang of things to keep you occupied or simply chilling. You’ve got a Body scrub, Body wrap, Fitness center, Gym/fitness, Massage, Pool with view, Sauna, Spa, Spa/sauna, Steamroom, and Swimming pool [outdoor].
I hit the Swimming pool, several times, and spent a glorious hour in the Sauna followed by a rejuvenating Massage. But let me tell you about the fitness center…. It's there, it exists, but let's just say it’s not the most modern facility. The equipment is a little… dated. But hey, at least it kept me out of trouble.
Services and Conveniences: The Little Things That Matter
They've got Daily housekeeping, which is just wonderful. Concierge service - check! Luggage storage, Laundry service, Dry cleaning, Cash withdrawal, Gift/souvenir shop, Car park [free of charge], and so on. But the little things matter.
My biggest gripe? The elevator. One day it was working fine, the next it was… well, not. But hey, Elevator or no elevator, the views from the higher floors are worth the climb!
For the Kids:
They have Babysitting service and it is a Family/child friendly resort. They offer Kids meal which is perfect.
Rooms: The Nitty Gritty
Okay, the rooms. Here's where the Ancarine really shines. The Air conditioning is a blessing from the gods and the Blackout curtains are necessary for those who are trying to sleep past sunrise. I loved the Bathtub and especially appreciated the Bathrobes and Slippers.
I loved having a Coffee/tea maker. Another great bonus was the Free bottled water, and I always appreciate a Refrigerator to keep my drinks cold. The Sofa was a nice place to relax. I loved my room - it truly was a private haven!
Getting Around:
They offer Airport transfer, which is super convenient. They also have Taxi service and Car park [on-site].
My Verdict: Paradise Found? (With a Few Tweaks)
Ancarine Beach Resort is mostly fantastic. The location is stunning, the staff are generally lovely, and the commitment to safety is reassuring. Some things could be improved – the internet consistency, the elevator situation, and clarity around accessibility – but overall, it's a great option for a relaxing getaway.
The Quirks:
- The "Shrine" thing…: Okay, so they have a shrine on-site. Not a problem, just… unexpected. Adds to the local flavor, I guess!
- The occasional power outage: Nothing major, but it happened a couple of times. The backup generators kicked in quickly, but it's worth noting.
- The sun loungers are in high demand: Get there early to snag a good spot by the pool!
Overall, I give Ancarine Beach Resort a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It’s not perfect, but it’s a fantastic base for exploring the beauty of Vietnam.

La Residence India: Uncover Luxury RedefinedAlright, buckle up, buttercups, because we’re about to dive headfirst into a Vietnamese adventure at the Ancarine Beach Resort. Consider this less a polished itinerary and more… well, a barely-held-together scrapbook of what actually happened. Expect sand in your shoes, a questionable tan line, and maybe, just maybe, a profound moment or two. Let’s go!
Day 1: Arrival and the Great Bikini Malfunction (or: Why Packing is Crucial)
- 10:00 AM: Arrival at Cam Ranh International Airport (CXR). Okay, so the flight was a goddamn ordeal. I swear, the dude behind me was practicing his tuba the whole damn time. But hey, we’re here! Sun’s out, slightly sunburned faces out. Transfer to Ancarine Resort by a driver arranged by me.
- 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Check-in, Room Exploration, and the Bikini Catastrophe. The resort is GORGEOUS. Like, seriously, postcard-worthy. We get to our room – a beachfront bungalow with a view that could make a saint weep. Except… disaster. My favorite bikini? The one I'd been dreaming of wearing? The one that makes me feel like a goddamn goddess? The clasp SNAPPED. Right there, in the middle of the unpacking. Life, you cruel mistress! Cue the panicked scramble for Plan B (a slightly less fabulous, less-supportive-but-still-functional-thank-God bikini). Lunch buffet at the resort. The noodles were a bit rubbery. But I inhaled a whole plate of mango sticky rice, so all is forgiven.
- 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: Beach Bliss (and a Close Encounter of the Sandy Kind). Beach time! Finally. The water is the most ridiculously turquoise thing I've ever seen. Spent the afternoon swimming, basking in the sun, and generally feeling like a mermaid. Until… a rogue wave decided to eat my sunglasses. Down they went, swallowed by the depths. Goodbye, expensive sun protection! Hello, slightly squinty eyes for the rest of the trip. A little boy helped me to save my sunglasses.
- 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Poolside Cocktails and Sunset Staring. Found a little slice of heaven by the infinity pool. Sipped on a "Passion Fruit Delight" (highly recommend) while watching the sun paint the sky in fiery hues. Actually, I think I got a little tipsy. Might have accidentally texted my ex. Ugh. Regret. But the sunset was worth it. Totally.
- 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Dinner at the Resort Restaurant: Fresh seafood! The "Grilled Squid with Garlic Butter" was divine. The only slight hiccup? The waiter kept trying to upsell us on a ridiculously expensive bottle of wine. No, dude, I'm good with the cheap stuff. Save that fancy Pinot Noir for the trust fund babies.
- 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Nighttime Stroll and Early Bedtime. Strolled along the beach under a canopy of stars. The sand squeaked beneath my feet. Bliss. Then, collapse into bed. Jet lag is a bitch.
Day 2: Culture Shock (Vietnamese Edition) and the Most Amazing Massage Ever
- 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM: Breakfast Buffet (Again!): This time, I master the art of the omelet station. Victory!
- 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM: A Day Trip to the City (Nha Trang): Let’s be honest, the idea of Nha Trang was more exciting than the actual experience, We booked a tour, which turned out to be slightly less charming than advertised. The traffic was insane. The driver kept honking. I might have actually screamed a few times. Visited the Long Son Pagoda. So beautiful and peaceful, but also… hot. Sweat was cascading off me like Niagara Falls. The market was a sensory overload – colors, smells, shouting, and… things I definitely didn't need to see. I ended up buying a knock-off designer handbag and a questionable hat. I'm not sure who I think I am, but I love it.
- 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM: Lunch in Nha Trang. Found a little local place. Had some pho (a Vietnamese soup) that was… okay. Not the best pho I've ever had, but the experience made the effort worth it.
- 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Back to the Resort for Spa Heaven: THIS. This is the reason I'm still sane. The resort spa. I booked the "Ancarine Signature Massage." Let me tell you, people. This was not just a massage; it was a religious experience. The masseuse worked miracles on my travel-weary muscles. Every knot, every tension point, vanished. I floated out of that room. I genuinely considered staying there forever. If I could be happy, that would be my life.
- 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM: The Beach. I spent a couple of hours on the beach,
- 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Dinner at the Resort Restaurant: More seafood, which was excellent. This time, I was prepared for the wine upsell. I kept trying to find a place to hide my handbag and the hat.
- 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Drinks and Early Bedtime (Again!): Back to the infinity pool for a nightcap. The stars were twinkling. Everything felt… okay. Exhausted, but okay.
Day 3: Island Hopping and Fishy Business
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakfast, with a Side of Regret: That slightly bad hat is still in my head.
- 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Island Hopping Tour. Another tour! Apparently, Ancarine is near some islands. Boarded a boat with a bunch of other tourists. We went snorkeling. The water was clear. Saw some fish. Fine. Then, disaster struck. I forgot to put on enough sunscreen. I look like a tomato. I felt terrible. We had lunch on another island. The food? Surprisingly good. Except for the fish. I'm pretty sure I saw a fin attached to something.
- 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Sunburn Recovery and Poolside Reflections: Back to the resort. I spent the afternoon slathering aloe vera on my crispy skin and generally feeling sorry for myself. I might have also judged everyone else's tanning abilities.
- 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Dinner at the Resort Restaurant. Still no comment on the hat.
- 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: I am very tired: I was too tired.
Day 4: Departure, and the Quest for a Real Souvenir (and a Plan for the Future):
- 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM: Breakfast then Check-out. I would have been great if I stayed at this resort forever.
- 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Last-Minute Souvenir Hunt. Found a little shop in the resort. I bought some coffee and a small wooden carving. Success! I finally figured out what I wanted.
- 12:00 PM: Transfer to Cam Ranh International Airport and Departure. Goodbye, Ancarine.
- Flight: On the flight, all I could think about how much this trip was worth it.
Final Thoughts:
This trip was messy. Gloriously, beautifully messy. Did everything go according to plan? Absolutely not. Did I make a fool of myself a few times? Definitely. Did I have moments of pure, unadulterated joy? Heck yeah. Did I still love it? Absolutely. Vietnam, you wild, wonderful place. I'll be back. Someday.
And next time, I'm bringing an entire suitcase dedicated to sunscreen. You hear me, world? Sunscreen!
P.S. I still have no idea what happened to my sunglasses. But hey, the memories are priceless (and hopefully, the tan will fade).
